We have at our disposal a bevy of attorneys experienced in construction, claims and litigation and with whom we work, not only locally, but in other states and foreign lands. These highly-trained and knowledgeable professionals work with our partners on a case-by-case basis regarding virtually every problem facing the industry today.
Should the nature of a case require the utilization of local counsel, expert witnesses or consultants relating to claims or litigation, we consult with the client and agree in advance regarding the employment of such persons and the terms of their involvement, including fees, expenses and the like. We also have at our disposal paralegal and technical personnel who assist us as required.
Additionally we utilize the latest in computer technology, scanning, document organization and retrieval. Further, our team utilizes multiple legal research databases. Located within close proximity to our offices are two highly-respected law schools and their extensive law libraries, one at the University of Utah and the other at Brigham Young University.
In serving the client, we seek to include the personnel within the client's organization who know the project or issues best. We welcome and desire the assistance of the client's in-house legal and project team in analyzing the issues, gathering documentation and developing chronologies or other facts necessary for us to assess the issues and make appropriate strategic recommendations. This may include utilizing the resources of the client's general counsel and an attorney in the client's city who has handled the client's business and is familiar with local judges and jury constituents.
In certain instances, a private investigator or forensic auditor may be required in our pursuit of the facts. In this event, we discuss the matter with the client and agree upon the best approach. We are closely associated with some of the best experts and consultants in the industry and if required can bring them to the client's aid. We utilize the most qualified personnel for the benefit of the client, while providing cost-effective services.
